Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
