Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
