Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the morning hours 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
