We have made constellations in the sky and decorated them for the onlookers. 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue. 18 And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 for, behold, it is We - We alone - who grant life and deal death, and it is We alone who shall remain after all else will have passed away! 23 We know the people who lived before you and those who will come into existence after you. 24 And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. 25
