Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
