Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
