Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
