The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
