And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire. 27 Shall We treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? Or shall We make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)! 30 When they brought fleet-footed chargers in the evening to show him, 31 He said: verily I have loved the love of earthly good above the remembrance of my Lord until the sun hath disappeared behind the veil. 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended. 36 And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, 37 and others linked together in fetters. 38 'This is Our gift, give or withhold without reckoning' 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
