But no; I swear by what you see, 38 And all that ye see not 39 that this is the speech of a noble Messenger. 40 and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet; 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 43 And had he fabricated just one matter upon Us – 44 We assuredly had taken him by the right hand 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein. 46 Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). 47 And surely it is an admonition to the God-fearing. 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] 50 And indeed it is a certain Truth. 51 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), proclaim the purity of your Lord, the Greatest. 52
