The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
