Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
