Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.
