And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
