Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? 24 When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." 25 Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, 26 and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' 29 They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, 32 so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 and he turned away in [the pride of] his power and said, "A sorcerer [is this Moses,] or a madman!" 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 And [you have the same message] in [what happened to the tribe of] Ad, when We let loose against them that life-destroying wind 41 It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
