Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
