And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 These men do say, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
