Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
