Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
