The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
