The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 or orders piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
