The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extending columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
