The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 weigh with an even balance 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, "You are no more than a bewitched and insane man 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
