The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
