Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
