Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
