The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
