52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The true event! 1 What is the concrete reality? 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them: 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 They defied their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an ever-tightening grip. 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 then, on that day, the Terror shall come to pass, 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then he who is given his record in his right hand will exclaim, "Here is my record, read it. 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 We shall say to him, "Eat and drink joyfully as a reward for the good deeds you did in days gone by." 24 Then as to him who shall be vouchsafed his book in his left hand, he shall say: Oh! would that I had not been vouchsafed my book. 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My wealth has not availed me. 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 “Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” 32 Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 So no friend has he here this Day, 35 nor any food save the filth 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
