The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
