He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 And he has placed firm mountains on earth, lest it sway with you, and rivers and paths, so that you might find your way, 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is there one who createth like unto one who createth not? Will ye not then be admonished? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
