1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
