(O Prophet), did the story of Abraham's honoured guests reach you? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he went back to his family and brought a fat roasted calf 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. 28 And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 marked by your Lord for the sinful' 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. He became an object of much blame. 40 And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. 46
