The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)! 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 And your Lord glorify 3 Thy raiment purify, 4 and defilement flee! 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 be patient unto your Lord. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 That Day will be a difficult day 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And children to be by his side! 13 To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable! 14 then he is eager that I should do more. 15 By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications. 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 Behold, [when Our messages are conveyed to one who is bent on denying the truth,] he reflects and meditates [as to how to disprove them] 18 So let him be cursed! How he plotted! 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then he looked, 21 frowned and scowled; 22 then he retreated and waxed proud, 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 [Hence,] I shall cause him to endure hell-fire [in the life to come]! 26 What do you think Hell-fire is? 27 It leaves nothing, nor does it spare; 28 Blackening the skins. 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
