Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 That is how We reward the good. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 For what day is that time fixed? 39 The Day of Judgement. 40
