Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
Almighty God's Truth.
