Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ SAY: "I HAVE been informed that a number of jinns had listened; then said: 'We have heard the wondrous Qur'an, 1 Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord. 2 and that “He – exalted be His Majesty – has not taken to Himself either a wife or a son”; 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 ‘Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!’ 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 We would sit there on seats to hear; but any listening now finds a meteor in wait for him. 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. 12 So when we heard the guidance we believed in it; and he who believes in his Lord will neither fear loss nor force. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell. 15 (And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance. 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 And [know] that all worship is due to God [alone]: hence, do not invoke anyone side by side with God! 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
