The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
