Al-Takaathur

Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
