T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
