Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and may remember You much. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
