Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
