The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
