And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 About what they used to do. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
