In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 Some men there are who buy diverting talk to lead astray from the way of God without knowledge, and to take it in mockery; those -- there awaits them a humbling chastisement. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Lo! those who believe and do good works, for them are the gardens of delight, 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
