The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Mount; 1 and a Book inscribed 2 In parchment unrolled. 3 By the House Frequented. 4 The roof raised high, 5 By the sea overflowing. 6 surely, the punishment of your Lord is about to come, 7 there is none who could avert it. 8 On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion. 9 The mountains move and fly away, 10 Woe will be to those who rejected the Truth 11 Those who in wading sport themselves. 12 on the Day when they shall be thrust into the fire with [an irresistible] thrust, [and will be told:] 13 This is the fire which you used to give the lie to. 14 Is this magic? or ye still see not clearly! 15 Burn in its heat. It is all the same for you whether you exercise patience or not; This is the recompense for your deeds". 16 [But,] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves [on that Day] in gardens and in bliss, 17 rejoicing in whatever their Lord has given them. Their Lord has saved them from the torment of the Fire, 18 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of that which you did' 19 reclining on couches arranged in rows. And We shall wed them to fair maidens with large beautiful eyes. 20 Those who believe, and whose descendants follow in belief, We will join their descendants to them. And We will not reduce them of anything of their deeds. Every one is pledged for what he has earned. 21 We shall provide them in abundance with all kinds of fruit and meat, whatever they may desire. 22 They will pass cups of un-intoxicating and unsinful wine to one another. 23 ۞ And they will be waited upon by [immortal] youths, [as if they were children] of their own, [as pure] as if they were pearls hidden in their shells. 24 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 25 saying, "We were afraid while in the world. 26 "But Allah has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of the Fire. 27 We used to pray to Him erstwhile; He is the just and merciful. 28
