Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
