The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
