The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
