No! By the moon 32 by the retreating night, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except those of the right hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 From the guilty. 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until death approached us". 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
