And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 He said, “Do they hear you when you call?” 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They exclaimed: But we found our forefathers doing the same!" 74 Thereupon, Abraham said: "Have you seen (with your eyes) those whom you have been worshipping, 75 You and your fathers? 76 They are enemies to me except the Lord of all the Worlds 77 who created me, and Himself guides me, 78 And Who feedeth me and watereth me. 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 who makes me to die and then revives me, 81 It is He whom I expect to forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment. 82 My Lord, give me Judgment, and join me with the righteous, 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 and forgive my father, for he was among the astray. 86 Do not betray me 87 on the Day of Judgment when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit 88 “Except he who presented himself before Allah, with a sound* heart.” (Intact or unblemished.) 89 And the garden shall be brought near for those who guard (against evil), 90 and Hell shall be revealed to the misguided, 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" 93 Then they will be thrown on their faces into the (Fire), They and the Ghawun (devils, and those who were in error). 94 "And the whole hosts of Iblis together. 95 "They will say there in their mutual bickerings: 96 "'By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest, 97 When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 We have no intercessors now, 100 nor do we have a truly sincere friend. 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers! 103 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 104
